Having a designated driver when you go out with your friends is always a good idea, and we love to reward those who make smart decisions. The next time your group goes to a concert, volunteer yourself as the DD and we’ll reward you!
I’ve heard of the Road Crew Program. What is it?
Three years ago, we partnered with LiveNation to create a designated driver program at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield and the Blue Hills Bank Pavilion in Boston. Our goal is to promote safe driving decisions and reward those who do. And who doesn’t love free soda?
Did you say free soda?
That’s right. All concertgoers at these venues are given the opportunity to sign up as a designated driver at a marked Arbella Road Crew tent. Participants are then given a Road Crew cup, bracelets, and drink vouchers that they can use to get fountain drinks. They’re also eligible to win a free season pass at either venue the following summer!
Why do we love this program?
The Road Crew program was put together by John Donohue, chairman, president and CEO of the Arbella Insurance Group, and chairman and president of the Arbella Insurance Foundation. “The summer is a great time to gather with friends and enjoy live music, and Road Crew is our way of rewarding concertgoers who also make responsible driving decisions after a night out.”
Are there other safe driving initiatives?
The Arbella Insurance Foundation strives to be an industry leader in promoting safe driving decisions and we’ve got plenty of other initiatives to promote safe driving, like our Distractology program and our Boston's Safest Driver Competition. It’s our mission to be engaged in this topic and to make our roads and communities safer.
